TAG51 runs entirely in your browser. Your file, your key image, and the key derived from it exist only in the memory of the tab you have open, and are released when the operation finishes or you close the page.

  • Files and key images are never uploaded to any server.
  • No account, no sign-in, no database.
  • File names, file types, and contents are never sent to analytics or logs.
  • The encrypted .tag51 file is created on your device and saved by your browser.
  • TAG51 cannot recover your file if you lose the key image. There is no backdoor.

You can verify this yourself: open your browser's network panel and run an encryption. No request carrying your file is made.
